Inclusion
At St Mary Queen of Martyrs VC Academy, inclusion is at the core of our educational ethos, driven by the core belief that "a sense of belonging is the heartbeat of inclusion." Guided by our vision of inclusive practice, where nothing is left to chance, no child is left behind, and every student is supported through accessible design and highly intentional teaching, we foster an environment fueled by an unwavering belief in universal capability. Our approach is structured to support every step of a learner’s journey through dedicated SEND support groups, including the Oak Group (a safe, rooted space to grow at an individual pace), Cedar Group (structured support for steady, adaptable growth), Willow Group (a nurturing space to regain momentum), and Aspen Group (supportive learning integrated within a connected classroom community). Inspired by the core tenets of belonging and equal opportunity, we assemble the complete puzzle of inclusion by eliminating barriers, celebrating diversity, and promoting well-being, participation, and connection so every child feels accepted, seen, heard, and empowered to reach their full potential.
